    • Bolivia

    • An AI-powered tool, Qhawana prevents individuals with Alzheimer’s from wandering away and getting lost. With the help of algorithms that process the movement of people, the app detects erratic or unusual movements caused by spatial disorientation. When someone with Alzheimer’s begins to wander, Qhawana sends notifications to the caregiver or relatives with their geolocation in real time.

    • United States

    • A disaster preparedness tool, Auxilium helps prepare the 60% of American adults who have not practiced what to do in a disaster. With input from school principles and FUSD administrators, Auxilium offers fun quizzes and information to teach people what to do in case of disaster. It also includes a place to create a family plan, and a way for users to alert others if they are in an emergency.

    • Blue Duck: Albufera

    • Spain

    • An environmental protection and education tool, Blue Duck: Albufera protects Valencia's La Albufera park through collaborative action. La Albufera is affected by the city’s dumping of contaminated water, plastic waste, and the pollution caused by the large infrastructure nearby, which destroys the ecosystem. Blue Duck educates locals in a fun way, and encourages everybody to help.
