Raeana Samuel

Director of Community Development

As Director of Community Development, Raeana cultivates the digital spaces where Women Techmakers connect, collaborate, and champion gender equity in tech and leadership. She holds a B.Sc. with specializations in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Waterloo, where her journey with Technovation began as Chapter Ambassador for Technovation Girls Waterloo. Her path continued through community outreach and gender equity work at the university, followed by a role at Shopify as a Technovation industry partner. She is passionate about creating opportunities for girls and women to make meaningful impact and drive positive change in innovation and leadership. Outside of her community-building work, you'll find her completing crochet projects, volunteering at the local food bank, or curating her growing vinyl record collection.
