How might we rewrite our narrative with tech in the AI age? Five live events this October, conversations, debates and co-design, out loud and together.

In 1843, Ada Lovelace wrote the first computer program. Alone. No peers who understood the work, and no one to ask the questions that only make sense once you have been inside the problem.
She saw what no one else could: that a machine built for numbers could one day compose music, create art and follow ideas. She wrote it all down, in notes longer than the paper she was annotating, and history nearly filed her away as a footnote.
Making the unseen, seen. That was her work, and now it is ours.
Through October, Women Techmakers Ambassadors and speakers meet live to answer one question: How might we rewrite our narrative with tech in the AI/ML age?
The biggest difference between Ada's era and ours is not the technology. It is that she worked alone, and we don't.
Who it's for
Anyone building, questioning or affected by AI: engineers, designers, researchers, community leads, and people whose route into tech never started with code. Every session is free and open.
All sessions are free, online and captioned. Each one ends with time for your questions.
Shaping a safer and more inclusive AI future
The opening event will introduce the Ada Lovelace Campaign and connect Ada's legacy with the women shaping AI today. It will present the campaign's three focus areas: AI Safety, AI for Non-Technical Roles, and Accessibility in AI, while setting the direction for the rest of the month.
Risk, responsibility and representation
This event will explore AI Safety as both a technical and societal issue. Through a real-world case study and a structured debate, participants will examine how AI risks affect people and organisations, who should be responsible for preventing harm, and whose perspectives should influence decisions about safe AI.
Finding and claiming your place in AI
This event will explore how professionals from non-technical backgrounds can contribute to and build careers in AI. Through personal career stories and an interactive workshop, participants will identify how their existing skills can help shape the development, adoption and governance of AI.
Test, question, redesign
This interactive event will explore accessibility through lived experience, practical demonstrations and collaborative problem-solving. Participants will examine barriers in an AI experience and help redesign it more inclusively.

Writing our next chapter
The closing event will bring together the month's learnings and Ambassador reflections. Participants will create a commitment wall for how they want to rewrite their narrative with technology in the AI/ML age.
How the pairing works
Ambassadors are paired to interview each other, on the record. Every conversation is documented and shared with the community.
01
You are matched with a fellow Ambassador building at your level.
02
One on one, no scripts and no panels. Just two people who have been inside the problem.
03
You each write a post about the other's work, so the thinking stays on the record.
