International Day of the Girl embodies our shared belief that girls deserve an equal future. For 15 years, Technovation has fought to not only expose girls to the latest technologies and skills, but empower them to use these tools to rewrite their own futures.
Our partner Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) recognizes that our work is critical and is generously matching donations to Technovation up to $100,000 as part of our ongoing celebration of International Day of the Girl.
HPE has made a significant commitment to girls and women, building a culture that seeks to inspire women and girls to pursue their passions through technology – whether that’s software development, sustainability, or racing – by championing stories of women who have done just that.
Their purpose so closely aligns with that of Technovation, so this partnership and pledge of support around International Day of the Girl was a logical progression.
With more than 2 million women leaving the U.S. workforce in the last year alone, it’s more important than ever to support women, talk about the challenges they face and champion their stories. Technovation and HPE both believe that cultural and systemic change doesn’t happen overnight. Rather, it comes in the thousands of moments every day when we as individuals choose to challenge gender bias and inequity.
Technovation’s track record is strong, with 100,000 young women alumnae trained as technology entrepreneurs & innovators, 76% of alumnae pursuing STEM degrees, 60% of alumnae working in STEM careers, and 60% of alumnae crediting Technovation for their career choice & increasing their self-efficacy.
Now is the time to support girls, as your donation will go twice as far toward our mutual goal.
Let’s seize the opportunity to be inspired by what adolescent girls see as the change they want and demand. Help girls grow in STEM and AI today!
