    • A tool to prevent education disparities from growing even larger during the Covid-19 pandemic, Goal Shadowing pairs children with similar career goals but unequal access to resources, so that both children with similar interests can achieve their goals through task-mirroring.

    • United States

    • An iOS application that helps prevent waste contamination by facilitating and simplifying the recycling process, Recycle Right uses image recognition technology to help users dispose of waste. Using augmented reality animations, the app quickly identifies whether or not an item can be recycled.

    • Eunomia

    • New Zealand

    • A mobile game targeted at the 40+% of 18-24 year-olds who do not vote, Eunomia teaches players about politics and how the New Zealand government functions. Eunomia also identifies the user's political stance in an unbiased way.

    • Carefuge

    • Canada

    • Carefuge helps the most vulnerable members of our society. Homelessness can be a symptom of system failures such as the lack of affordable housing, support for immigrants and refugees, or rough transitions from child welfare. Carefuge draws attention to this problem and provides service to those experiencing homelessness.

    • Apeksha

    • India

    • Apeksha (Hope) supports survivors of acid abuse. It connects volunteers, NGOs, and survivors. Volunteers can provide legal, medical or psychological aid. The recruiters can provide job opportunities and the NGOs can create a profile with information about their services. Survivors can learn about their rights, services open to them, and showcase their own creativity.

    • DiscriminAction

    • Canada

    • DiscriminAction is a simulation game that teaches kids about what it's like to be discriminated against. Players select from a diverse group of avatars to play as, and once they've chosen, they make decisions for the avatar to try to get them through the discrimination that the avatar is facing.
